Members of the royal family are preparing for one of the most important days of the year and they’re doing so by making some major changes to their social media accounts.

In honor of Remembrance Day, a holiday that honors members of the Armed Forces who have died in the line of duty Queen Elizabeth (@Royalfamily), Prince Charles (@Clarenchouse), Kate Middleton, and Prince William (@Kensingtonroyal) have all updated their profile photos on their Instagram and Twitter accounts.

These new photos have a few things in common. Not only were they taken at previous Remembrance Day services over the years, but they also feature the royals sporting the famous red poppy flower. Symbolizing remembrance and hope for a peaceful future, poppies are worn annually as a show of support for fallen WWI soldiers. See Her’s Majesty’s old and new photos below.

The royal family celebrates the holiday annually this year, it falls on Wednesday, November 11, attending engagements and events in the days leading up to Remembrance Sunday. “This time of year provides an opportunity to reflect on the sacrifices made by service personnel in conflicts around the world and to ensure that members of the Armed Forces and veterans are cared for,” the royal family said in a statement last year.

While we don’t know for sure how exactly the gang will be honoring the special day this year due to the coronavirus pandemic, we do know that it will look a lot different from last year’s events, during which the Sussexes and Cambridges (AKA the Fab Four) came together for a rare, joint appearance.

We have a feeling we’re going to be seeing a lot more red poppies in our feed over the next week or so.
