Kate Middleton has a hack for never being seen with a bra strap showing.
At this point in quarantine, I barely know what a bra is anymore. I truly haven’t seen mine in weeks. But in an alternate reality where we all actually wear real clothes, Kate Middleton has a genius hack for dealing with visible bra straps.
Royal etiquette expert Myka Meier who “trained in London under a former member of The Royal Household of Her Majesty the Queen,” says Kate avoids the pesky issue of visible bra straps all together by wearing strapless bodysuits.
Myka shared this nugget of info on Instagram, posting a photo of the Duchess at the 2019 Royal Ascot and writing “Royal Style Hack Alert. Ever wonder why you never see bra straps. Swipe to see a secret trick which is a must-have royal wardrobe piece”
Meanwhile, Myka said that “Underwear and bras are also considered private intimate wear, and for royals to put intimate apparel on display would simply not be done. There are a few options to hide bra straps, with one option being a bra that is actually sewn into the piece. A second option is a strapless shapewear, which is a one-piece that either snap at the bottom or has legs attached. You can buy them in almost any skin tone so they appear transparent and don’t show through clothing.”
There are a million brands that sell shapewear, but Kate Middleton is rumored to buy hers from John Lewis. Good to know.
