Gov. Ikpeazu Replaces 17 LGA Chairmen In Abia State

The Governor of Abia State, Okezie Ikpeazu, has approved the immediate removal of the 17 local government transition committees’ chairmen and their deputies and the dissolution of the state traditional rulers’ council.

 The governor reconstituted them and forwarded the new transition committee chairmen and deputies’ names to the Abia State House of Assembly for screening and confirmation.

 He named Eze Nwabeke of Isiala-Ngwa North as chairman Abia State Council of Traditional Rulers; the Enachioken of Abiriba, Eze Kalu Ogbu as the 1st deputy, while Eze Harry Ugwuala and Eze Godfrey Onwuka of Umuahia South were named 2nd deputy 3rd deputy, respectively.

 The new chairmen are Victor Ubani (Aba North), Cherechi Wogu (Aba South), Maurice Okoro (Arochukwu), Hagler Okorie (Bende), Udo Nwogwugwu (Isiala Ngwa North) and  Chief Nkem  Onwubiko (Isiala Ngwa South).

 Others are Stanley Ojigbo (Ikwuano), Osita Igbe (Isuikwuato), Kingsley Nnaji (Obingwa), Fred Idika (Ohafia), Ikechukwu Nwabeke (Osisioma), Chief Lucky Akabuike (Umuahia North), Ndukwe Adindu (Umuahia South),  and Matthew Ibe (Umunneochi).  The list also has Stella Igbokwe (Ukwa East), Sylvanus Nwaji (Ukwa West) and Peter Aguomba (Ugwunnagbo).
