Hurray!!! It’s Dr. Matthew Nwokoji’s birthday, the Chairman/Founder, of Dr. Nwokoji Foundation marked his birthday today Monday, September 18, 2023, as friends, colleagues, partners and family members including University Dons, Pastors and royal fathers gathered to celebrate him.
“For the Lord had said in his words, I know the thoughts that I think towards you; thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you an expected end.”
Dr. Matthew Nwokoji, an uncommon Professor of Criminal Justice and Chairman/Founder of the Dr. Nwokoji Foundation, says his passion is to empower humanity and to invest holistically in the nation’s education sector.
He made this known to Waka About Africa in a telephone conversation in the faraway USA as a birthday gift to the Nigerian people.
The University Don and caregiver through his NGO Dr. Nwokoji Foundation, a non-profit organization has never relented in his contributions to the Nigerian people and has received many awards and accolades that have come his way and promised to do more.
Dr. Matthew is being celebrated, in both America and Nigeria in a sponsorship and lavish gift to the needy. The star-studded event was organized in association with the Dr. Nwokoji Foundation to mark his birthday with the less-privileges and has made an appeal to the general public concerning the needy in our society.
The University Don raised a concern, he noted that less-privileges and the needy in our society must be taken care of despite the breakdown of leadership and economic growth in our country.
Waka About Africa recently reported that Dr Nwokoji Foundation awarded scholarships to the best graduating pupils of God’s Doing School Owerri, the Imo State capital,
He recently decried the growing spate of drug abuse among youths of school age and called for more adjustments to the school curriculum to include self-help skills for self-reliance.
The Dr. Nwokoji Foundation Scholarship was founded to provide financial aid to outstanding students in Nigeria as such the scholarship will give rise to the best brains and offers opportunities every year.
Dr. Matthew Nwowkoji hoped to create a network of future leaders within Nigeria who can compete globally with their peers, bring new ideas, and creativity and are committed to improving the lives and circumstances of people in their respective communities through the scholarships.
While giving thanks to God for yet another year, the University Don pledged his support for the foundation.
In his special thanks to God for marking his birthday this year, he noted that he was speaking on behalf of his Foundation and that his request was his personal birthday appeal.
“As you already know, I have been giving back to my local communities, state and the nation through the NGO Dr Nwokoji Foundation project. “We have donated to different causes, and intervened in so many areas local and international,” he said.
To the spiritual and moral development of the country, with testimonies in education, health, roads, water supply and provision of scholarships to the less privileged.”
He has been involved in many cares giving, currently in his hometown in Aguneze Ahiazu-Mbaise, Imo State of which with all this affluence, the Don, still remains a very humble and friendly personality. Very amiable and accessible with millions of fans within the country and across the globe.
Indeed, the great son of Aguneze, Ahiazu Mbaise has paid his dues in nation-building to his nation, Nigeria in the area of providing care for the needy, sponsorships etc.
Today, Sept 18 as a king is born, let’s roll out the drums to celebrate one of our own. Dr Matthew, you surely deserved to be celebrated.

“We commend his sense of affection for the needy and respect for the difficult and solemn situation we have found ourselves in as a nation, but we will always cherish his philanthropic spirit,” his friend said.
Born on September 18th in Aguneze, Ahiazu Mbaise, Imo State, Nigeria, Dr. Matthew Nwokoji is the Chairman/Founder of Dr. Nwokoji Foundation, a Non-Governmental Organisation, he believes education has the capacity to take us from the bottom to the top and our leaders and well-meaning citizens must understand this and work towards it.
